Check a Receipt

Every paid run ends in a JSON file: the receipt, its name, the signature when this site has a signing key, and the matrix. This page recomputes the name and the matrix fingerprint in your browser and checks the signature. Nothing you paste is sent.

The check runs in JavaScript, which is off here. The method is short: the name is the SHA-256 of the receipt written as canonical JSON (keys sorted, no spaces), and the receipt's matrix field is the SHA-256 of the matrix written the same way.

What each line checks

Line	Passes when
Name	The SHA-256 of the receipt, as canonical JSON, equals the name it was issued under. Any edit to a count, a date or a reason changes it.
Matrix	The SHA-256 of the rows and the unresolved list equals the receipt's `matrix` field. A row added, dropped or reworded changes it.
Signature	The Ed25519 signature verifies over the receipt under the public key printed beside it.
Key	That public key is the one this site signs with today.
